Coating and treatment

All parts to be anodized must take some points into consideration, so that it is possible to obtain an excellent final anodizing result.

• The pieces must have a good finish, that is, they must not have deep scratches or stains caused by sanding or poor brushing.
• We ask for special attention to the holes, which must be properly cleaned, so as not to cause stains, runs or discoloration on colored pieces. Whenever the holes are very small and deep, we recommend that they be covered with titanium or aluminum screws.
• The parts to be coated cannot be made of materials such as iron, brass or stainless steel, as this causes interference in the anodizing process and can even damage the parts.
• The pieces must be free of glue, silicone, labels, and tape. These materials create a protective film that prevents anodizing in these areas, and often it is only at the end of the process that the areas that were isolated become visible.
• Pay special attention to the type of aluminum used, because anodizing behaves differently depending on the types of aluminum.
• All parts that are to be reanodized may be outside the intended dimensions.
• These defects are the responsibility of the customer, and Anodfarbe is not responsible for any loss or damage relating to the points previously described.
