HARD ANODIZING (Type III)
Hard Anodizing is carried out in a sulfuric acid bath at low temperature. This produces a coating with very high strength and hardness superior to normal anodizing.
However, each aluminum alloy achieves different results. There are aluminum alloys that are not the most suitable, such as the 2000 alloys and alloys that contain a lot of silicon.
The tone of the pieces also depends on the aluminum used. At Anodfarbe We offer the option of Hard Anodizing in black, so that it is possible to anodize in different aluminums, maintaining the same color.
The thickness of the anodized layer also varies depending on the aluminum alloy used. Therefore, it is very important that the piece always complies with the alloy that will be used.
